Hi, my name is Hemawantie Lall, but people who know me call me Hema, it’s much shorter and easier to say.  I was born on one of the Caribbean island called Trinidad and Tobago.  Its two different islands but they put the two names together, I don’t know why.  The part I’m from and more familiar with is Trinidad. 

            At the present time I work for my family business that seems to change every so often.  At the moment we have a Laundromat and a Deli.  I use to work at the Laundromat in the mornings, then go to school from there, and then from school go to the Deli.  But I had a change in my school schedule and had to work every thing around it.  Now I’m just at the Deli in the evenings. I like the Deli more then the Laundromat because at the Deli the people come in get what they need and then leave.  At the Laundromat they come and take forever, or maybe I just don’t like the Laundromat.

                 My major is New Media Technology.  I’ve changed my major two times already.  From Liberal Arts to Travel & Tourism then to New Media Technology.  I chose this major because it was the closes to computer graphics as I could get, well at least it's what they told me, lol, at LaGuardia.

            My hobbies are writing, drawing, messing around in the internet, hanging out with my friends, and volunteering myself in anything that goes on at Penn Station that involves the Law Enforcement Explorer.  That’s what I am, I’m not a police officer, yet.  This did have an impact on what I want to do with my life.   

            I’m taking this course because I’m hoping I learn something more that will help me with my major.  I hope to learn everything I can about this course.  I don’t have anything in particular in mind. 

            Yes I have a computer.  It’s a Dimension 3000, and two giga bits. That’s all I know.

            In ten years I see myself work for the police department.  I’m not sure exactly what kind of police officer I want to be yet, but I do know I want to work with Law Enforcement.
